Cambridge is growing
The population of Greater Cambridge is expected to increase by 31% between 2011 and 2036. The Cambridge and Peterborough Independent Economic Review (CPIER), published in September 2018, has also set a target of doubling the regional economic growth of Greater Cambridge over the next 25 years. To support the growing population and economy, a sufficient amount and variety of housing land needs to be identified. Land at Cambridge North offers an ideal opportunity to provide a significant number of new homes in a highly sustainable location and close to existing and proposed areas of employment, whilst also making the best possible use of a derelict brownfield site.
